New Name, new look.

After starting up her Warrington dog grooming business earlier this year, business owner Emma decided that her name and initial logo didn’t reflect her, or her growing business. She wanted something she could be proud of and show off.

As an experienced and caring dog groomer, Emma found herself with many returning customers of the fluffy variety, who absolutely love their pampering sessions. Their humans seem pretty pleased with it too.

When Emma approached me to design a logo to actualise with her new name ‘Tame my tail’ and give her a brand worthy of her initial success, I jumped at the chance. Being a dog lover myself I knew we’d get on great. The process was pretty informal to begin with and after a good chat I scribbled down a few ideas. Most of them involving dogs bums…

The creative process is rarely a linear one, so once I had started to draw up the logos there just wasn’t something quite right. I had an idea. Emma has dogs of her own that she absolutely adores, so I asked for some photos of her beloved pooches and began to create a more illustrative style logo.

Having a few dogs and not wanting to leave any out we tried a fair few options before settling on the final design. Here are a few that didn’t make the cut… but still make lovely little illustrations to have anyway.

I always ensure that my clients have choices and variations and there is no pressure to rush choosing a final design, especially one that was this personal.

I also redesigned a price list for Tame my tail, detailing all services offered. This features the new logo and this on-trend blush pink brand colour which really lifts the design and helps to give that ‘salon experience’ look.

After deciding to change the name of my business, I needed a logo and flyer designed. Kate has worked extremely hard to produce a logo that I am very happy with. Anything I asked to change of involve, Kate did. I was included in the creative process the whole way through and I am in love with my new logo. My flyer is great and it is exactly what I was after. I couldn’t recommend Finbo Designs highly enough, the re-design had made my business look more professional and has given my advertisements colour and class.

In addition I had an illustration made for my Brother’s birthday. It arrived gorgeously wrapped and my Brother was over the moon with his framed portrait of his beloved pet.
